Yuri Pavlovich Kolmakow ( Russian Юрий Павлович Колмаков ; born October 10, 1945 in Malmysch in Nanaiski Rajon in the Khabarovsk region ) is a former Russian biathlete .

Yuri Kolmakow trained first with A. Ostaschew, later under Mamatow , Pschenizyn and Priwalow and was a member of the Soviet national squad from 1968 to 1975. He won his first of two world titles at the 1973 Biathlon World Championships with the Soviet relay over 4 × 7.5 km in the line-up of Alexander Tichonow , Rinnat Safin , Kolmakow and Gennady Kovalyov . In the individual over 20 km he came eighth after two shooting errors. In the following year at the Biathlon World Championships in Minsk in 1974 he again won the 4 × 7.5 km race with the relay, this time in the line-up of Alexander Ushakow , Alexander Tichonow, Nikolai Kruglow and Kolmakow. At the national level Kolmakov won two Soviet championships , each with the relay he was in 1968 and 1975 title holder. In 1974 he received the Honored Master of Sport award . He graduated from the Belarusian State University in Minsk, where he also lives.
