Edgar Buchwalder

Edgar Buchwalder (born August 2, 1916 in Kleinlützel , Canton Solothurn , † April 9, 2009 in Rothrist , Canton Aargau ) was a Swiss cyclist.

Edgar Buchwalder won the silver medal with the team at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin; in the individual he was eleventh.

In 1936 he was the amateur road cycling champion in Bern; 1940 and 1942 Swiss champions among professionals. He won several stages in the Tour de Suisse ; In 1942 he won the Tour of Bern.
