Elisabeth Demleitner

Elisabeth Demleitner (born September 23, 1952 in Kochel am See ) is a former German luge athlete .

In the 1970s, Elisabeth Demleitner was the major German competitor of the East German racing luge legend Margit Schumann . Demleitner won the world championship in 1971 and was European champion in 1977 and 1978. At the 1976 Winter Olympics she won the bronze medal. From 1971 to 1976 she was German champion six times in a row.

For her sporting success she received the silver bay leaf in 1976 .
