The Earth Hare ( Jimao , Chinese  己卯 , Pinyin jǐmǎo ) is the 16th year of the Chinese calendar (see table 天 支 60-year cycle). It is a term from the field of Chinese astrology and describes those lunar years that are linked by a connection between the sixth heavenly stem ( 己 , jǐ , element earth and Yīn ) and the fourth earth branch ( 卯 , mǎo ), symbolized by the hare ( 兔 , tù ), are characterized.
