The Earth Hare ( Jimao , Chinese  己卯 , Pinyin jǐmǎo ) is the 16th year of the Chinese calendar (see table 天 支 60-year cycle). It is a term from the field of Chinese astrology and describes those lunar years that are linked by a connection between the sixth heavenly stem ( , , element earth and Yīn ) and the fourth earth branch ( , mǎo ), symbolized by the hare ( , ), are characterized.
