The earth monkey ( Wushen , Chinese  戊申 , Pinyin wùshēn ) is the 45th year of the Chinese calendar (see table 天 支 60-year cycle). It is a term from the field of Chinese astrology and describes those lunar years that are linked by a connection between the fifth celestial stem ( , , element earth and Yáng ) with the ninth earth branch ( , shēn ), symbolized by the monkey ( , hóu ), are characterized.
