The fire snake ( Dingsi , Chinese  丁巳 , Pinyin dīngsì ) is the 54th year of the Chinese calendar (see table 天 支 60-year cycle). It is a term from the field of Chinese astrology and denotes the lunar years that are linked by a connection between the fourth celestial stem ( , dīng , element fire and Yīn ) with the sixth earth branch ( , ), symbolized by the snake ( , shé ), are characterized.
