The water dog ( Renxu , Chinese  壬戌 , Pinyin rénxū ) is the 59th year of the Chinese calendar (see table 天 支 60-year cycle). It is a term from the field of Chinese astrology and describes those lunar years that are linked by a connection between the ninth celestial stem ( , rén , element water and Yáng ) and the eleventh branch of the earth ( , ), symbolized by the dog ( , gǒu ), are characterized.
