Wood sheep

乙未

The wooden sheep ( Yiwei , Chinese  乙未 , Pinyin yǐwèi ) is the 32nd year of the Chinese calendar (see table 天 支 60-year cycle). It is also sometimes referred to as the wood goat . It is a term from the field of Chinese astrology and describes those lunar years that are linked by a connection of the second heavenly stem ( amm , yǐ , element wood and Yīn ) with the eighth earth branch ( 未 , wèi ), symbolized by the sheep ( 羊 , yáng ), are characterized.

In the Chinese calendar cycle, the year of the wooden sheep 乙未 yǐwèi is the 32nd year (at the beginning of the year: wooden horse甲午 jiǎwǔ 31). The year of the fire monkey follows the year of the wood sheep .
