history

Until the church is planted

The place was first mentioned in 1294 as "Vlaslanden". The place name is derived from the field name of the same name. The basic word is mhd. Lant (smaller piece of land tilled with a hoe or spade), the defining word vlahs, vlas (flax).

The monastery Heilsbronn acquired there in 1165 goods. A total of four properties became Heilsbronnisch.

The German order had since 1294 held the rule in place and there is a Coming , a lower administrative authority established that the franc Deutschordensballei belonged. From 1500 this ball was part of the Franconian Empire .

At the end of the 18th century there were 72 properties in Flachslanden. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Hofkastenamt Ansbach . The village and community rulership was held by the Brandenburg-Ansbach Vogtamt Flachslanden . Were landlords

In addition to these properties, there were ecclesiastical (church, parish), communal (sheep house, shepherd's house) and stately buildings (office building).

19th and 20th centuries

From 1792 to 1806 Flachslanden, like the entire Principality of Ansbach, was under Prussian administration. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach . In the geographical statistical-topographical lexicon of Franconia (1800) the place is described as follows:

Flachslanden, market spot in the camera office in Ansbach of 43 subjects belonging there, 16 are knightly, on a brook falling not far from Birkenfels in the Franconian Retzat. Formerly the seat of a Vogteyamt. The place has 3 annual markets. There used to be a handsome manorial tannery here. "

In 1806 Flachslanden came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict , the Flachslanden tax district was formed in 1808 , to which Borsbach , Hummelhof , Kellern , Kettenhöfstetten , Rangenmühle , Rohrmühle , Rosenbach , Ruppersdorf belonged. The rural community of Flachslanden was founded in 1811 and was congruent with the tax district. It was subordinate to the Ansbach Regional Court in administration and jurisdiction and to the Ansbach Rent Office ( renamed Ansbach Tax Office in 1920 ). In voluntary jurisdiction, 14 properties in Flachslanden were subordinate to the Rügland Patrimonial Court from 1820 to 1848 .

With the second community edict (1818), Wippenau was reunified from Virnsberg to Flachslanden. On August 24, 1830, the newly formed community of Kettenhöfstetten with Borsbach, Rangenmühle and Ruppersdorf broke away from Flachslanden. From 1862 on, Flachslanden was administered by the Ansbach district office (renamed the Ansbach district in 1938 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court of Ansbach until 1870, 1870-1879 city and district court Ansbach , since 1880 district court Ansbach . The community originally had an area of 12.449 km².

From 1993 to 1995 the Flachslanden trials against 19 people from the Flachslanden area who were charged with mass child abuse took place before the Ansbach Regional Court .

Blazon : “In silver a curled red tip, inside a silver ring ; in front a blue flax blossom, behind a floating black paw cross . "

Blue-white-red municipal flag

Justification for the coat of arms: The flax blossom stands for the place name. The black paw cross indicates the German Order Coming Virnsberg .
