The Şanlıurfa GAP Airport , also Şanlıurfa Airport ( Turkish Şanlıurfa GAP Havalimanı or Şanlıurfa Havalimanı ) is a Turkish airport about 50 kilometers northeast of the city Şanlıurfa . It is operated by the state DHMI .

Airport grounds

The airport was opened in 2007. It is used exclusively for civil purposes and is also designed as an airport for international traffic. It has a terminal with an area of ​​12,000 square meters, a capacity of 2,500,000 passengers per year and a paved runway that does not have an instrument landing system (ILS). The apron has a size of 114 × 168 meters and can accommodate seven commercial aircraft.

The city of Sanliurfa, which is assigned to him, is about 35 to 40 kilometers away. It can be reached by taxi, private car or airport bus via the D-885 and D-390 highways. There is a parking lot for almost 500 cars in front of the terminal.
