Genija Rykova
Genija Rykova (born January 19, 1986 in Irkutsk , Soviet Union ) is a German actress and singer .
Life
Genija Rykova, who speaks German and Russian as mother tongue, came to Munich as a child with her parents from Siberia . The daughter of an artist and a physiotherapist attended the Waldorf School up to the 6th grade . Through her father's work as a set designer at the Münchner Kammerspiele , she discovered her fascination for the theater early on. After graduating from the Rainer-Werner-Fassbinder-Fachoberschule, she passed the entrance exam at the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding in 2008 , where she was noticeable not only for her acting skills, but also for her talent for singing. She received a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation and was engaged at the Münchner Kammerspiele while still studying in 2011, where she was to be seen in Satansbraten under the direction of Stefan Pucher , alongside Brigitte Hobmeier and Wolfgang Pregler . The production was nominated for the Nestroy Prize in 2012 .
After her diploma in 2012, Genija Rykova was engaged by Martin Kušej at the Munich Residenztheater , where she was a permanent member of the ensemble until the 2018/19 season a. a. worked with Dimiter Gotscheff , Calixto Bieito , Marius von Mayenburg , Jürgen Kuttner , Martin Kušej, David Bösch , Thomas Birkmeir , Ivica Buljan and Mateja Koležnik .
Besides her work as a theater actress Genija Rykova from movies like is closing makers of Matthias Schweighofer , The midwife 2 , various crime scenes and serial Servus baby known.
Since 2015 Genija Rykova & Band has been touring Germany with two different jazz programs: “Die Klischewetzkis - Jazz meets Russian nostalgia” and “Woman's World” - a homage to important jazz singers of the 20th century.
