Hüyük is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Konya . Since a regional reform in 2014 , the municipality ( Belediye ) is congruent with the district (İlçe). All previous villages ( köy ) are now districts ( Mahalle ) of the municipality. The city is located about 80 kilometers west of the provincial capital Konya .

The district is located in the west of the province. It borders in the northwest on the province of Isparta , in the north on Doğanhisar and Ilgın and in the south and east on Beyşehir . Lake Beyşehir Gölü forms the western border . The D-695 trunk road runs through the district from Polatlı in the north to Beyşehir in the south. The place is connected by country roads to the east with the D-330 to Konya and to the north with Doğanhisar. In the north are the foothills of the Sultan Dağları Mountains with the 1626 meter high Çakmak Tepesi and the Olukdağı Tepesi with 1823 meters. The river İlmen Deresi flows in the northwest into the Beyşehir Gölü, which forms the southwest border of the district.
