The Junior All Blacks are a New Zealand national rugby union team . However, they are not a youth team, as the name would suggest, but rather the B national team behind the All Blacks . The Junior All Blacks took part in the Pacific Nations Cup from 2006 to 2009 and won it three times (2006, 2007, 2009), making them record champions to this day.

history

In addition to the national teams of Fiji , Japan , Samoa and Tonga , New Zealand and Australia were invited to the first edition of the Pacific Nations Cup . While the second team of the Wallabies Australia A rejected, New Zealand sent its second team.

At the very first edition of the Cup in 2006 , the Junior All Blacks won all games and became the superior cup winners. Despite the participation of Australia A in the following year , the team remained undefeated and defended their title. In 2008 , the New Zealand Rugby Union sent the New Zealand Māori team instead of the Junior All Blacks , which won the tournament in a similarly dominant manner. In 2009 the Junior All Blacks returned to the tournament to win their third and final undefeated title.

After that, the team did not participate in any championship.
