Laisorolai de Cima ( Laisorulai de Cima , Laisorolai Leten , Laisorolai de Sima , German  "Ober-Laisorolai" ) is an East Timorese Suco in the administrative office of Quelicai ( municipality of Baucau ).

Before the 2015 territorial reform, Laisorolai de Cima had an area of ​​22.90 km². Now there are 7.48 km². The Suco is located in the south of the Quelicai administrative office. To the west are the Sucos Maluro and Lelalai and to the north the Sucos Laisorolai de Baixo , Bualale , Abo , Lacoliu and Uaitame . In the east, Laisorolai de Cima borders the administrative office of Baguia with its sucos Hae Coni , Osso Huna and Afaloicai . In the south is the administrative office Uato-Lari belonging to the municipality of Viqueque with its Suco Afaloicai .

In the west of the Sucos lies the place Laisorolai ( Laissorolai , Lassorolai ), which is bordered by Maluro in the west . To the north are the places Baticassa ( Baticasa ) and Uaidaba , to the south the village of Uaroro and to the east the villages of Laisorolai and Samalano ( Samafano ). In the northeast of the Sucos, on the border with Abo, are the places Abo-Matebian ( Abomatebian , Abomatebean ) and Abo-Lir ( Lir ). There are primary schools in Samalano, Baticassa, Uaroro and in Laisorolai ( Escola Primaria Catolica Laisorolai ).

In the Suco there are the three Aldeias Baticassa , Uaidaba and Uata-Liu .

Residents

The Suco has 1306 inhabitants (2015), of which 636 are men and 670 women. The population density is 174.7 inhabitants / km². There are 357 households in the Suco. Over 95% of the population name Makasae as their mother tongue. Less than 5% speak Bekais , a language mainly spoken in the western community of Bobonaro .

Between 1984 and 1986 there was an Indonesian camp near Laisorolai for people who were forced to move from Lelalai.

politics

In the 2004/2005 elections , Manuel da Costa was elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections , Cipriano Cabral won . and was confirmed in office in 2016 .
