Let There Be Rock (English for " Let there be rock ") is the fourth Australian and third international studio album by the Australian hard rock band AC / DC . The Australian version was released in March 1977 on the Albert Productions label. The international album was released on June 23 of that year on Atlantic Records .

background

As with the previous albums, the Australian and International versions of Let There Be Rock have slightly different playlists. For the international version, the song Crabsody in Blue was replaced by a shortened version of the song Problem Child , which was already on Dirty Deed's Done Dirt Cheap . On the European LP version, Crabsody in Blue was still included, but from the first CD version it was dropped and only appeared on CD in Australia until it was finally represented on backtracks in 2009 .

The sound of the album is characterized by the hard rock typical of AC / DC, which shows clear influences of blues and rock 'n' roll . Let There Be Rock is the final album with bassist Mark Evans.

In 1980, shortly after Bon Scott's death, a concert film entitled Let There Be Rock: The Movie was released. However, this recording was not recorded during the tour for this album, but for Highway to Hell .
