MTV Europe Music Awards 2011
The MTV Europe Music Awards 2011 were presented on November 6, 2011 at the Odyssey Arena in the Titanic Quarter in the Northern Irish capital Belfast . The show was hosted by singer and actress Selena Gomez .
The official nominations were announced on September 19, 2011. Most frequently nominated was Lady Gaga with seven nominations, followed by Katy Perry and Bruno Mars with five each and Adele , who was nominated four times. International prizes were awarded in a total of four non-European categories, including the best Latin American act, the best North American act and the best acts from Asia and the Pacific, India, the Middle East and Africa. One of the newer categories was the award for the artist with the most fans.
