Mark Ingram (* 21st December 1989 in Hackensack , New Jersey ) is an American American football poker players in the position of running backs . He plays for the Baltimore Ravens in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Alabama and won the 2009 Heisman Trophy .

He played from 2008 as halfback for the Alabama Crimson Tide , the college football team of the University of Alabama , in the Bowl Subdivision of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). In the 2009/2010 season he won the championship of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) with the team and also the national championship by winning the BCS National Championship Game . In addition, he received the Heisman Trophy for best college football player in December 2009 . He achieved the closest lead over the second-placed player since the first Heisman Trophy was awarded in 1935. He was also the first player in the history of the University of Alabama to receive this award.

New Orleans Saints
In the NFL Draft in late April 2011, Ingram was selected as the 28th player by the New Orleans Saints . In the 2016 season he was able to run more than 1000 yards for the first time . In 2018 he was banned from four games for a doping violation . In the remaining 12 games he got seven touchdowns.
Baltimore Ravens
On March 13, 2019, Ingram signed a three-year deal worth $ 15 million with the Baltimore Ravens .

His father Mark Ingram senior played from 1987 to 1992 as a wide receiver for the New York Giants , with whom he won the Super Bowl XXV in 1991 , and later for the Miami Dolphins (1993/1994), the Green Bay Packers (1995) and the Philadelphia Eagles (1996) in the NFL.
