Uhrmann is a police commissioner in the federal police . As a youngster, he was able to secure the title of junior world champion in the team twice in 1995 and 1996 and was also junior world champion in individual jumping in 1996. In 1996 he set the current hill record at 86 m on the Erzgebirgsschanze in Johanngeorgenstadt . He won two individual World Cup competitions, in Zakopane in the 2003/04 season and in Oberstdorf in the 2006/07 season , as well as the Olympic gold medal with the team in Salt Lake City in 2002, the world championship title with the team on the large hill.
For this he received the silver bay leaf on May 6, 2002.
He had already won a bronze medal with the team on the normal hill at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2001 . He also won the silver medal with the team from the normal hill at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2005 in Oberstdorf . In 2006 he surprisingly won the bronze medal with the German team at the Ski Flying World Championships in Tauplitz (Kulm). Uhrmann is married and has had a daughter since April 4, 2006. In October 2009 his second daughter was born. In November 2011, the birth of his third daughter followed. He was a representative of the CSU at the 12th Federal Assembly in 2004.
