Noël del Bello

Noël del Bello (born December 25, 1942 in Nantua ) is a former French racing driver and racing team owner.

Racing career

Noël del Bello began his career in the 1960s at small racing events for GT vehicles in France. His first major international race was the 6-hour race in Dijon in 1979 , a race of the sports car world championship that year . Del Bello drove a Chevron B36 together with Bernard Verdier and dropped out of the race after finishing 13th (out of 27 starters).

In the same year he made his debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans ; he finished this race in 22nd place overall. He achieved his best result in Le Mans in 1986 with 17th place. His most successful race in the World Sports Car Championship was the 1000 km race in Dijon in 1980 , which he finished fifth. Del Bello was active as a driver until 1991, when he concentrated entirely on his work as a racing team owner.

Racing team owner

Noël del Bello founded a racing team - Noël del Bello Racing - in the 1980s , which entered racing vehicles in GT and sports car races until the 2010s. Among other things, a Sauber C8 , a Reynard 2KQ , GT-Porsche and racing cars from Yves Courage were used.
