Location of Obersülze in Lindlar

The village of Obersülze with about 60 inhabitants is part of the municipality of Lindlar , Oberbergischer Kreis , in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Obersülze is located northeast of Lindlar on the state road 284 between Altenlinde and Ohl . The townscape is today characterized by many new buildings. The Lindlar Sülz flows north of the village .

history

The exact dating of the origin of this court is difficult. However, it can be seen as proven that the first settlement took place together with the neighboring village of Ohl, which was first mentioned in a document in 1413. The first settlement took place from Fronhof Lindlar. After the first clearing work, individual farms were built, most of which still exist today.

Attractions

In Obersülze there are several old half-timbered farms from the 17th century. Particularly worth seeing is a half-timbered building from 1777, which is located directly on the state road. Various old crossroads also bear witness to the eventful history of the town.

Furthermore, Obersülze is idyllically located in the Sülztal and is therefore particularly popular with hikers and walkers.
