The village of Unterfeld is part of the municipality of Lindlar , Oberbergischen Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Unterfeld is located north of Lindlar on the state road 284 between Wipperfürth - Niedergaul and Hartegasse in the valley of the Breun brook . Neighboring towns are Breun , Müllerhof , Oberfeld and Roderwiese .

history

In 1470, Feld was mentioned for the first time in an inventory of the Steinbach office with the place name " Velde ". The Topographia Ducatus Montani map from 1715 names two neighboring farms with “Feld” and marks them as “Freyhof”. In the map Topographical Survey of the Rhineland from 1825, the farms are recorded in separate courtyards and named Unterfeld and Oberfeld . Unterfeld shows three individual building floor plans on this map.

The elementary school in Unterfeld was rebuilt in 1883 and completed in 1885. Before that, she was housed in Breun and Müllerhof. The school received a water pipe in 1908 and a new toilet in 1914. In 1955 the teacher's apartment was rebuilt. In 1968 the elementary schools were dissolved, including the elementary school in Unterfeld.
