Reudenbach is a village with about 40 inhabitants in Lindlar in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Reudenbach is located in the north-west of Lindlar, not far from the municipality border with Kürten . One of the neighborhoods is Unterbersten (Kürten).

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1467. The spelling of the first mention : rudenbach

On September 25, 2012, an aerial bomb from the Second World War containing 40 kg of explosives was discovered while cables were being laid in Reudenbach . The American-style bomb was three feet underground. It was defused and taken away by the ordnance disposal service under the supervision of the police, fire brigade and public order office. The small village had to be evacuated within a radius of 300 meters.
