Bangladesh took part inthe 2012 Olympic Games in London . It was the eighth total participation in the Summer Olympics. Five athletes in five sports were nominatedby the Bangladesh Olympic Association .

The standard bearer at the opening ceremony was the swimmer Rahman Mahfizur .
