Eritrea took part inthe 2012 Olympic Games in London . It was the fourth time they had taken part in the Summer Olympics. The National Olympic Committee of Eritrea nominated twelve athletes in two sports.

The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the athlete Weynay Ghebresilasie .
