The parliamentary elections in Finland in 1916 ( Finnish Eduskuntavaalit 1916 ; Swedish Riksdagsvalet 1916 ) took place on July 1st and 3rd, 1916. It was the election to the 7th Finnish Parliament .

Election result

The turnout was 55.5 percent, 4.4 percentage points higher than the turnout in the last parliamentary election in 1913.

The Social Democrats emerged from the election as the superior winners. They received over 60,000 votes more than in 1913 and obtained an absolute majority in parliament (103 out of 200 possible seats). No party in the Finnish Parliament should succeed in this.
