Parliamentary election in Finland 1930
The parliamentary elections in Finland in 1930 ( Finnish Eduskuntavaalit 1930 ; Swedish Riksdagsvalet 1930 ) took place on October 1 and 2, 1930. It was the election for the 14th Finnish Parliament .
President Lauri Kristian Relander had previously dissolved parliament, which was in a serious dispute over the communist laws.
The Social Democrats, who had lost their position as the strongest party in parliament in 1929, added almost seven percentage points. The Landbund gained votes slightly, but not to the same extent as the Social Democrats. The National Collection Party was able to increase its number of seats in parliament by 14 to 42. The Swedish left was represented with a seat in parliament. The disbanded socialist workers 'and peasants' electoral alliance no longer took part, and an unofficial list of successors could not make it into the Reichstag.
