Robin Bormuth (born September 19, 1995 in Groß-Rohrheim ) is a German soccer player . The central defender is under contract with Karlsruher SC .

Career

Bormuth played in the youth team of FC Alemannia Groß-Rohrheim , SV Concordia Gernsheim and SC Viktoria Griesheim before moving to the youth division of SV Darmstadt 98 . In July 2013 he went to Fortuna Düsseldorf . In May 2014 Bormuth moved up to his second team and made his debut on May 10, 2014 in a 3-0 away win against SG Wattenscheid 09 in the Regionalliga West . He scored his first goal on February 13, 2016 in a 1-0 home win against SV Rödinghausen .

For the 2016/17 season, Bormuth moved up to Fortuna's first team, for whom he played his first competitive game on August 20, 2016 in a 3-0 away win against Hansa Rostock in the first round of the DFB Cup . Nine days later he made his debut in a 0-0 draw against 1. FC Kaiserslautern in the 2. Bundesliga . Bormuth scored his first second division goal on November 25, 2016 in a 2-2 home game against Hannover 96 . In the 2017/18 season he won the championship with Düsseldorf and was promoted to the Bundesliga .

On August 3, 2020, he signed a two-year contract with Karlsruher SC .
