Thomas Ebner (born February 22, 1992 in Baden ) is an Austrian football player . The defender plays for the Austrian Bundesliga club FK Austria Wien .

Career

Ebner began his career in the youth department of 1. SVg Wiener Neudorf in Lower Austria . In 2002 he was signed by Admira Wacker Mödling . Until 2010 he completed games for the Admirans in the youth classes before he was pulled up into the amateur team. He made his debut in the Regionalliga Ost on March 12, 2010 against the amateurs of SV Mattersburg . Ebner played through the 3-0 away win. Subsequently, the right defender became a regular player. In the winter break of 2012 he was appointed to the first team squad. Ebner made his debut in the top Austrian league under coach Dietmar Kühbauer on March 24, 2012 against eventual champions FC Red Bull Salzburg . He played through and could look forward to a 2-2 draw.

After more than 170 Bundesliga games for Admira, he switched to league rivals FK Austria Wien in the 2018/19 season , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2021.

National team

For the Austrian national soccer team he was previously used in the U-16s. The right defender played his first international youth game on November 13, 2007 against Turkey in Istanbul . The game with other players like Christoph Knasmüllner or Lukas Rath was lost 4-0.
