Tobias Draxinger (born January 3, 1985 in Munich ) is a German ice hockey player who has been playing for Starbulls Rosenheim in the Oberliga Süd again since the 2017/18 season .
Career
Draxinger spent his time as a youth player at ERSC Ottobrunn , TSV Erding and SB Rosenheim , where he gained his first experience in the DNL from 2000 . In 2002, the defender took part in a rookie camp for the Los Angeles Kings , but he was not considered. After this experience in North America, the left shooter returned to Rosenheim and made his first appearances in the Bavarian League .
After his time in Rosenheim, Draxinger moved to the DEL to the Eisbären Berlin for the 2003/04 season . Until the 2006/07 season Draxinger was always at the polar bears Juniors Berlin in the league employed won the DEL team but three German championships and in 2008 the German Ice Hockey Cup . For the 2008/09 season he signed a contract with the league competitor ERC Ingolstadt . After a season, Draxinger left Ingolstadt again after having had little ice age, especially under the then coach Benoît Laporte . The defender joined the Straubing Tigers , who also play in the DEL. For the 2011/12 season Draxinger was signed by the Augsburg Panthers .
International
Internationally, Draxinger was part of the German squad at the 2003 U18 World Cup . A year later, at the U20 World Cup in 2004 , he was promoted to the A group of the World Cup with the German junior team. In 2005 he took part again in the U20 World Cup before he was used for the first time in 2007 at a senior world championship.
