Tschaplyne ( Ukrainian Чаплине ; Russian Чаплино Tschaplino ) is an urban-type settlement in the Ukrainian Oblast of Dnipropetrovsk with about 3800 inhabitants (2018).
The settlement founded during the construction of the Katharinenbahn (1881-1884) was occupied by the Wehrmacht from October 4, 1941 to September 10, 1943 .
Tschaplyne is located in the Rajon Wassylkivka 19 km southeast of the Rajon center Wassylkivka . Part of the same settlement council commune beside Tschaplyne, the villages Schurawlynka ( Журавлинка ) Kassajewe ( Касаєве ) Petrykowe ( Петрикове ) and Rivne ( Рівне ).
