The 1995 UK Championship was a snooker tournament that was played from November 17 to December 3, 1995 at the Guild Hall in Preston . For the second time in a row, Stephen Hendry secured the title. He had already won two titles in 1989/90. He defeated Peter Ebdon in his first finals with 10: 3.
Ebdon had been the last to get a maximum break in the tournament. Hendry followed him and was the first player ever to play three official 147 breaks. And the first to have managed two such breaks in one calendar year.
Prize money
The premiums for the placements remained exactly the same as in the previous year. Nevertheless, for the first time, £ 400,000 in prize money was again achieved because a particularly high prize had been awarded for the Maximum Break. While Willie Thorne (1987) and Peter Ebdon (1992) had to be satisfied with £ 6,750 and £ 6,000 respectively, Hendry brought in an additional £ 25,000.

Main tournament
From November 17th, the final round of the UK Championship 1995 was played with 64 players.
Century breaks
49 century breaks had already been achieved in the main tournament two years earlier. With 11 breaks of 100 points or more, including the third maximum break in tournament history, Stephen Hendry was the most successful player for the second time .
The breaks during the television phase from the round of 16 are shown in italics.
