Character description

Addie Singer

is a 12 year old girl who has to deal with the more or less everyday teenage problems. She is the little sister of Ben and the daughter of Sue and Jeff Singer. Her best friends are Geena Fabiano and Zach Carter-Schwartz, who are always by her side.
Addie is initially deeply in love with Jake Behari, who befriends her and is also fond of her. However, Jake has a girlfriend and therefore both distance themselves from each other. Later at Randy Klein's Bar Mitzvah party, the school crush and unlucky student, Randy approaches Addie and the two become a couple. But after the relationship ends, Addie discovers that she still feels a lot for Jake.
Addie plays the guitar and writes songs about every problem in her life. Furthermore, she is still very talented in singing. She has been with Jake since eighth grade.

Geena Fabiano

is Addie and Zach's best friend. Geena is very talented in designing clothes and therefore sews almost all of her clothes herself. In contrast to Addie, she has a lot of self-confidence. Geena almost regularly receives detention from Principal Brandywine for her underclothing at school. Geena has been dating the Italian Gianni since season 3. At first Geena thinks he only speaks Italian , but over time she realizes that he speaks her language too. Thereupon she separates from him, but comes back with him a short time later.

Zachary "Zach" Carter-Schwartz

is Geena and Addie's best friend. Zach is one of the best basketball players on the school team and is very environmentally conscious. His girlfriend, named Annie, is older than him and in grade above him, which causes some problems at first. He's an unconventional guy who likes to discuss social problems and their causes. Zach even went barefoot to protest the social pressure to buy branded sneakers. He's not just an activist, though.

Jake Bahari

is Addie's great love. At first, Jake only feels friendship with Addie because he is already in a relationship. During Randy Klein's bar mitzvah, when he breaks up with his girlfriend, he discovers his feelings for Addie. But she is now with Randy because Addie believed that Jake would never see her as friendship again.
Later, when Addie and Randy's relationship breaks up and Addie rediscovers her feelings for Jake, Jake is already on his way to Canada for summer vacation. In the first season he is with Patty. And he's been dating Addie since season 3.

Randy Klein

the flock of all the girls in the school, who are very unlucky and often not to be seen because they are in the hospital. At his bar mitzvah, you see the handsome Randy for the first time, who promptly falls in love with Addie Singer. He and Addie have had a long and sometimes problematic relationship, but Addie is his great love. But then, just before the seventh grade summer vacation, their relationship ends. Most girls call him "Sweet Candy Randy Klein".

Ben Singer

is Addie's big brother and the son of Sue and Jeff Singer. Ben works at the juice, after his girlfriend Tara broke up with him, he meets Jen, who also works at the juice.

cranberry

is Maris' best friend. They both like to insult or embarrass Addie. Throughout seventh grade, Geena and Cranberry hated each other. But on the last day of school they get along.

Maris

is Cranberry's best friend. She is very bitchy and loves to tease Addie. She always calls Addie's ex-boyfriend Randy the sweetest Candy Randy Klein.

The Perfect Moment - A trip with obstacles

" The Perfect Moment " first aired on October 7, 2006 in the United States.

Addie learns that her crush Jake is back with Patti. It is clear to Addie that she must act quickly now and confess her love to Jake. When she hears that Jake and Patti are going to Jake's cousin's wedding in Chinatown, Addie sees her chance come: she decides to show up at the party unannounced. Addie persuades Ben, who recently got his driver's license and is jealously spying on his ex-girlfriend Jen, to drive her to Chinatown with Geena and Zach. Once there, the friends part ways: Ben starts a fight with Jen's new friend Kirk and promptly ends up in police custody. Zach also comes into conflict with the law because he has made it into his head to free some lobsters from a Chinese restaurant. In the meantime, Addie and Geena managed to sneak in at the wedding. While Geena meets her dream boy Nathan here, Addie fails to get in touch with Jake. On the contrary: Patti immediately sees what's going on here and lets Addie and Geena sit outside the door. After their situation seems hopeless, Geena comes up with a glorious idea: They buy curtains and transform them into saris. They sneak back to the wedding and Addie even makes it to Jake, but at the crucial moment he has to be photographed and Addie has to wait. In the meantime, Ben wants to be "grown up" and has himself tattooed, which causes him extreme pain. The tattoo artist has only just started when they are surprised by the police and Ben has to go to prison, where he runs into Kirk. He makes it clear that Ben is no longer really in love with Jen, and they get along. Ben calls Addie, who is forced to help her brother and leaves the wedding. Zach, however, is lucky and can save the lobster by giving away his expensive shoes. He affectionately calls the lobster Dolores. But in order for Addie to be able to pay her brother's bail, Dolores competes with two turtles, the stake is her life. She wins, however, and so Addie can buy out both Ben and Kirk. Jen is impressed with Ben's performance, he immediately feels better and even wants to help Addie. They come back to the wedding with the crazy driver, but too late, everyone is gone. Geena meets Nathan again and unfortunately can no longer take care of Addie, but that doesn't bother her because she hears the ringing of bells. She remembers the Chinese fortune teller who prophesied that bells would lead her to the desire of her heart, and she follows the sound. In the trash she finds Jake's cell phone, which Pattie threw in there to prevent Jake and Addie from contacting her. She answers and shortly afterwards Jake arrives surprised. Addie takes the opportunity and confesses her feelings to him. He still replies and a kiss occurs, whereupon all she can think of is the word "perfect". They all go home happy, where Addie's parents arrive shortly afterwards. Sue had seen her a couple of times, but her husband persuaded her that it was his imagination. But since Dolores, the lobster was there, Addie and Ben confessed and were condemned to the unskilled labor, which Addie doesn't bother, however, she is happy and receives perfect text messages from her Jake.

The Best Trip Ever - In the Eye of the Storm

" The Best Trip Ever " is the second TV film and also forms the series finale. The film premiered on December 16, 2007 in the United States.

The friends plan to go on a cruise. Zack tries to tell Geena that he loves her, but Addie wants to prevent that. On the second day, a storm rages on the high seas. Towards the end of the film, Geena and Zack kiss passionately and shortly afterwards they are lovers. In Germany the film was broadcast as a two-part show. The series thus ended in Germany.
