Wairoque ( Vairoque , Wairoke Wairoce , Wairoçe ) is an East Timorese suco in the administrative office of Luro ( Lautém municipality ).

The place

The place Wairoque is located in the southeast of the Sucos at an altitude of 232  m . It is part of Unter-Luro ( Luro ), the former administrative center of the Luro Administrative Office. The villages of Luro , Afa , Zefaliu , Soba ( Sofa ), Afanami ( Ataname ), Ulturo ( Luturo ) and Dalari are located on the north bank of the Adafuro in the direct vicinity of Wairoque . The settlement center includes a school to prepare for secondary school. The road from Ober-Luro to the municipality capital Lospalos leads through Unter-Luro. The settlements south of the Adafuro already belong to the Suco Cotamutu .

Wairoque has 811 inhabitants (2015), of which 422 are men and 389 women. The population density is 24.1 inhabitants / km². There are 175 households in the Suco. The inhabitants give Makasae as their mother tongue.

Before the 2015 territorial reform, Wairoque had an area of ​​16.37 km². Now there are 33.69 km². The Suco is located in the north of the administrative office of Luro, at the confluence of the Adafuro River into the Raumoco River . In the southwest it borders on the Suco Afabubu , in the south on Lacawa and in the southeast beyond the Adafuro lies the Suco Cotamutu. In the north and east is the Lautém administrative office with its Sucos Euquisi , Daudere , Serelau and Maina II . The river Roumoco forms the border to Serelau and Maina II. The abuti flows a little along the border with Afabubu. The Buiguira rises in Wairoque and then flows north into the Lautém administrative office. Apart from the settlement center of Lower Luro, there are no significant settlements in Suco. A medical post is located in the south of Sucos.

The borders of sucos were re-cut between 1999 and 2004. At that time the southern part of Wairoque came to Lacawa and the part of Lower Luros on the southern bank of the Adafuro to Cotamutu.

In Cacavei there are the five Aldeias Afanami , Iuto , Liarafa , Luturo and Soba .

politics

In the 2004/2005 elections , Raimundo Noronha was elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections won Augusto Marques .
