Before the 2015 regional reform, Luro had an area of 22.95 km². Now there are 22.13 km². The Suco is located in the east of the administrative office of the same name. In the northeast it borders on the Lautém administrative office with its Suco Maina II . The Roumoco River, which also crosses the center of the Sucos, forms a large part of the border. In the southeast is the administrative office of Iliomar with its Suco Fuat . Here the border largely follows the western headwaters of the Malailada . In the southwest is the Suco Baricafa and in the northwest of the Suco Cotamutu. The Raumoco rises in the border area between the Sucos Baricafa and Luro, follows the border a little to the south, before it swings to the east and crosses Luro. Then it flows north along the border with Maina II. On the Roumoco, the land at the northern tip of the Sucos sinks to an altitude of less than 100  m , otherwise it is mainly between 100 and 500  m . Only in the center of the sucos does the land rise even higher.

The place Luro (Ober-Luro) in Suco is the main place of the administrative office. It forms a closed settlement with Abere , Aelaneno , Afaia ( Afaea ), Amahira ( Amaira ), Uatalano (Suco Luro), Cotamutu , Baricafa ( Barikafa ) and Ossufaso (the last three places are in Suco Cotamutu). Fanice is further north, Halaena in the east and Sarelari south of the main town. The east and south of sucos are only sparsely populated. The settlement center has a primary school, a medical post and a community health center.
