Nina Sky

Hi. how are you? I'm the originator of the article of Natalie and Nicole Albino, their bio. The article is about them first and then the formation of the band. An article about the "band" would normally be considered as another indepenent article however, I went on merged them. Everyone's vegetarian

Before you start to add a category to dozens of people please take ensure this category is really /relevant/ with regard to this person. For example Isaac Newton may have been vegetarian but this is perhaps the least important characteristics one could assign to him. Thanks. Pavel Vozenilek 02:31, 16 July 2005 (UTC)

While it may be relevant to you it is most likely not relevant to many more people. Filling articles with large amount of low-relevancy categories does nothing good, it only dilutes usefulness of the categories and makes Wikipedia only worse. List of vegetarians is the proper way to enumerate such people because list doesn';t intrude original article. Pavel Vozenilek 02:49, 16 July 2005 (UTC)

• Can you provide sources for these labels? You've put Charles Darwin in the category which seems highly unlikely (see the talk page). There seems to be very scant evidence that Newton was a vegetarian, too. --Fastfission 14:02, 16 July 2005 (UTC)

Music articles

You have joined in the vandalising of a number of music articles, by reverting my attempts to edit them into good English and Wikipedia style; as I've now decided that the only course I can take is to press for the vandals to be blocked from editing, you might want to rethink your actions. You should also note that wholesale reverting of someone's edits under the edit summary "you" makes no sense. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 09:00, 24 July 2005 (UTC)

1. I haven't altered the charts, only those parts of the article that are normal text. I've done this in accordance with normal Wikipedia prctice, and with every manual of style I've ever seen. Journalists, being often pressed for space, use many abbreviations, including numerals for numbers, which we don't have to (and which normal reference works don't either). Incidentally, the articles didn't use numerals consistently, but mixed them with spelt-out numbers (especially ordinals).
2. We don't follow Billboard or other music-journalism style.
3. The "Theme and influences" says nothing about the theme and influences (and a section is in any case unnecssary there).
4. I have no idea what the "Chart trajectory section is supposed to mean, but as it stands it's a string of unexplained numbers. Wikipedi isn't fanzine, and its articles shouldn't be understandable only by fans.
5. I've done my best to retain good-faith edits while revrting the bad-faith ones. As you've been reverting both wholesale, I believe the adage about throwing stones and living in glass houses is appropriate.
6. I didn't accuse you of vandalising a number of articles; I said that you had joined the editors who are vandalising a number of articles. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 19:08, 24 July 2005 (UTC)

I notice how each week you update the Billboard Hot 100 page, adding this week's new #1. When do you receive the new chart? I notice you get it on Wikipedia long before I can even access the new issues. Usually they are available on billboard.com around 11:00 UTC on Thursdays. Can you tell me how to get them earlier? Rapping

If you're referring to rap music, please do not pipe a link to rapping. Rapping discusses the art and practive of rapping; it is not an article on the musical genre. That article is at hip hop music, where rap music rightfully redirects. Thanks. --FuriousFreddy 06:42, 26 August 2005 (UTC)

Shake It Off

I reverted the anon's change from "it was fiftieth on the..." to "it was number fifty on the..." because the former read more smoothly to me (the insistence in these articles on telling the reader that ten or twenty-three or fifty is a number is one of the things I find most irritating about them; I mean, what else would it be?). Template:Mahabharata...

As much respect as I have for Hinduism, I must bring into question the neutrality of claiming Vyasa as the historical author of the epic. His historical existence is ... questionable, at least. Toni Braxton

Your arrangement of the paragraphs in the Toni Braxton article makes it look inaccurate. For example: you stated that "As Braxton's low register sounded similar to that of Anita Baker, Reid and Babyface wanted her to record a demo of "Love Shoulda Brought You Home." She DID record the demo, therefore my line about how she was recruited to is more thorough.

Also, it's not necessary to re-hyperlink what was already done earlier in the article, which you did with Arista…or every year. Plus comma's go *inside* quotations. I left many of your edits alone. The least you can do is be willing to compromise. — DtownG 23:45, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
