Guitar Hero: 80's Edition is the upcoming sequel to the popular video game for the PlayStation 2 and the Xbox 360, Guitar Hero II. This game has only been speculated for the Playstation 2. No release date has been released, though EGM reports that it is to be shipped in the spring of 2007.

80's Edition does not appear to be a completely new sequel; recent industry rumors indicate that a separate title Guitar Hero III will be developed by Activision's Neversoft division[1]. This would imply that 80's Edition may be reusing the core engine found in Guitar Hero II with only a set list change to represent songs popular in the 1980s.
