Martin Fritz Glaessner (born 25 December, 1906 in Aussig in the former Austro-Hungarian Empire, died 23 November, 1989 in Melbourne, Australia) was a geologist and historical biologist. He trained in Vienna, earning doctorates in law and in geology and paleontology. He worked in petrogeology in Moscow from 1932 to 1938, and then held various positions at the University of Adelaide from 1950 to 1989.

He received the Lyell Medal of the Geological Society, the Walcott Medal of the National Academy of Sciences in 1982, and the Suess Medal of the Geological Society of Australia.
