SF

Hey there! thanks for your msg. I'm getting ready for the SF-Biarritz game tonight at 9. I'm sure I'll have plenty to add to the SF Page!! Concerning your query, what exactly do you think should be added to the page? I think it's already pretty full. As for the images, I'll see what I can do within the limits of copyright. OK. Talk to U later!! Beru91 18:07, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

French competitions

Hi! I'm sure you'll be glad to learn that I added three pages to rhe rugby project : Coupe de France (rugby union), Challenge Yves du Manoir and Coupe de l'Espérance. Please do review them and correct the English (I may teach your darn language, I ain't no native!). Also let me know what I can do to improve them or other pages for that matter. I didn't go to the Stade-Biarritz game, I watched it at home, or rather I tried to because a surprise guest (a gastorentiritis) made me rush to the toilet the second Damien Traille kicked off! Sorry for the details! Tough night despite the win. And Shawn Sowerby broke his leg... Cheers! Beru91 13:24, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My pleasure

Hey mate! The pages were a pleasure to make. Glad you enjoyed them. All I need is a little time and that's not always the easiest part... Sometimes it's just "hey, let's make one!" (or improve one for that matter as with Toulon). As long as I'm up to the standards of the English WP, that's all right because it's not always the case on the French WP. BTW, what are your criteria to create a club page? Does it need to have a "past" at the national level eg? We're wrestling with this at the moment, because some want to delete pages for 5th division clubs with one season at the maximum level, at a time when the first division included 80 clubs (unbelievable, I know), while others want to keep them. As for the records (most points, tries etc.) this is not readily available information, simply because nobody really keeps track. I know it's traditional to have those for you guys, but not over here. I'll see what I can do on a piecemeal basis. Also it might be for the modern age only. Today I added a page on a romantic figure of French rugby, Yves du Manoir. Hope you like it! Anyway, cheers! Beru91 16:36, 21 October 2006 (UTC) PS: I had no idea you were Australian! :¬D[reply]

A proposal you may be interested in

Leave your opinion on this[1] matter if you are interested. It is basically about the term rugby super league being used as a disambiguation for all rugby competitions by that or a similar name. --Ehinger222 12:32, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

SF Rivalries

Hi! There's definitely a paragraph to be made. In the early period, it used to be Racing Club de France, now it's both Toulouse and Biarritz, although none has the intensity and history of the Reds/Waratahs confrontations. I'll try to figure something out and let you now. BTW my question about the French clubs was actually for us at the French WP! I don't think it's necessary to clog the English WP with French Third or Fourth division clubs, unless they really mattered in the past. But I got your point. And thanks for the compliments, they're always nice to read... Cheers!

Hey there! No, I don't think I'll go to any of the games (family obligations), but I'll be watching. Tana did great today, scoring a try for his debut with Toulon. I added that on his page. I'll definitely look at your history sections. Please ask if ther's anything I can do or check, that'll be a pleasure. French clubs did well in the H Cup this weekend, while the Poms got beat big time, and my other club, AS Béziers, won in the Pro D2, a good weekend overall! Cheers! RU Assessment

Hey, I've changed Waratah's to Top importance rather then High as per the importance standards listed on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Rugby union/Assessment page. - Shudda talk 22:17, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please use the move function, instead of copy-and-paste, when renaming a page. This avoids splitting the page history in several places. Thanks. --Geniac 15:02, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, that makes sense. It looked a lot like a typical cut-paste move, that's all. Thanks for explaining. --Geniac 13:22, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

All Blacks Peer review

I've submitted All Blacks article for a peer-review, please go to WP:PR and leave comments if people suggest improvements. This is important if we want to get this article to FA status. Thanks - Shudda talk 02:01, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

All Blacks lead section

Hey, I've been working on the All Blacks article and have done the lead again as per your suggestions. I'd really like you to have a look over it, I know you are on a wiki-break but hopefully you can have a look as soon as you are back. I havn't added references to the lead yet, they are all in the main article anyhow. Language may need some work also, but I'm hoping the content is acceptable. Also, I've created the template {{WPRU Announcements}} for peoples user pages, you should take a look. - Shudda talk 04:48, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Thanks for the Barnstar, although I won't be celebrating until All Blacks gets FA. It's so close, so I'd appreciate any help fixing little things people are unhappy about. It seems prose is the only issue at the moment, unfortunately it's almost certainly my weakest area. After the All Blacks FAC is done I'll have a look over the World Cup article. We don't want it losing it's FA status. You may want to submit it to the Wikipedia League of Copy-Editors. Also, thanks for looking at WPRU Peer review dept; your input is greatly appreciated. We should be encouraging people to participate in the peer-review process as much as possible. Thanks again! - Shudda talk 02:21, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure how interested you are in copyediting. But I'm desperate for people to copyedit The Empire Strikes Back. If you could look it over, I'd really appreciate it. The Filmaker 16:09, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

    • Okay, I feel that the article is ready for FAC. However I've been wrong about prose before. Please feel free to copyedit as much as you see within the article, even while it is in it's FAC. The Filmaker 08:13, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
      • There is a hidden section inside the article right now dealing with video games, I was wondering if you could copyedit while I'm sourcing it. :) The Filmaker 15:16, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Australian Rugby Championship

I knew creating a page for the Tornadoes and the Aces would make you come out of the tall grass. :-) Saebhiar Adishatz 16:15, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was thinking, instead of the Franchise area title we could use Feeder clubs, that's the title they use on Rugby league pages. Just to be consistent. Franchise area sounds weird, I didn't know how to call it so I called it that but in retrospect feeder clubs feels more natural. Saebhiar Adishatz 16:00, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No sweat you deserve it (although it is worthless). Nice work on the Sydney Fleet page. Man you're fast! Saebhiar Adishatz 14:14, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Maps

Hey, I don't mind doing the map at all. I have been trying to find more info on the exact geography of the teams. The best info I found was at rugby.com.au. I was wondering if I could email you? Could you enable emails from other users for 24 hours (I'll then do it via pop-ups). Because I have quite a few questions, and could email you the map, as I progress? - Shudda talk 22:29, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rugby union at the Summer Olympics

Hey, I was just having a read through Rugby union at the Summer Olympics (which I see you mostly wrote). It's been submitted for FAC, and a peer-review. I think the article certainly has the workings of an FA class article, just needs to be expanded, prob referenced a little more, and a copy-edit. Do you think it's worth submitting for a peer-review (and advertising it well, to get some decent feedback) then trying to get this thing to FA standard? It's a fascinating topic and I think it would be worth it. - Shudda talk 02:43, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you put it up for peer-review here and then also place it at the main peer-review here then I'll definitely give some suggestions. Also, post some messages around advertising the peer review. I think the article may need some expansion as well, rather then just a clean up and the addition of some references. I'm willing to help though. - Shudda talk 04:11, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hey you should get that going. I'm going to have a look at that pick on the ABs page soon as well. - Shudda talk 22:13, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah hopefully, just post some messages at various articles asking for people to look at it. As well, I'd maybe ask a few people who would be interested. Also, isn't there an Olympics Project that could be involved? - Shudda talk 20:33, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry lads, didn't mean to eavesdrop but I reckon Shudda is right. The article is not far off FA standards. You should go for it Cvene. Saebhiar Adishatz 09:34, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Older world cups

Hi. I am happy to help with the older ones. I'm not sure how much time I'm going to be able to put into it at the moment, but will try and help as much as I can. Certainly once the England team's article has finished it's FAC I'll be able to focus on other things a lot more. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Bristol rugby.PNG)

Thanks for uploading Image:Bristol rugby.PNG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box.

Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:57, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Where_the_Heart_Is_Novalee.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 18:20, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Where_the_Heart_Is_Portman_Judd.jpg

I have tagged Image:Where_the_Heart_Is_Portman_Judd.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. Rettetast 18:20, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
