Michael A. Nielsen (born January 4 1974) is an academic in physics and currently senior faculty member at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics. Nielsen obtained his Ph.D. in physics in 1998 at the University of New Mexico.
In a recent posting on his weblog, Nielsen said he will change fields from quantum information and computation to “the development of new tools for scientific collaboration and publication”[1].
