Restaurant Empire is a computer game where one gets to design, own, and operate, a restaurant. It was created by Trevor Chan and is available only on PC.

Gameplay

The player controls the kind of cuisine the resturaunt serves (American, French, or Italian), what specific food they serve, and their staff. They have to keep guests happy and make money at the same time.

There is also a sandbox mode which is basically freeform. There are no confines as there are in the storyline mode (a.k.a. regular mode) but there are no challenges either.

Storyline

You are Armand LeBeouf. You have just graduated from a French culinary school and are anxious to try your hand at running a restaurant.

Your uncle, Michel LeBeouf, recently closed Treize Á Table (his restaurant) and is willing to give it to you if you prove yourself to be a good manager/chef. However, it's not exactly easy to do that. Omnifood, a global culinary conglomerate, controls over 60% of the world's restaurants and is rapidly growing. If you plan on being a successful restaurateur, you will need to be better than Omnifood.

Eventually, Armand meets the Don, one of his Uncle Michel's friends from his days as a restaurant owner. The Don gives you an investment of $250,000 to expand in Rome, in which he resides. Armand opens two restaurants in Rome (one Italian cuisine, one French cuisine). Then Armand meets American businessman and restaurateur, Richard Steele. He subsequently opens four restaurants (one French cuisine, three American cuisine).
