Ros Childs, born in the United Kingdom, is a TV Journalist focused on business matters, who used to work primarily for ITV before moving to Australia and joining the ABC.

She was best known as Business Correspondent on ITV as well as the lunchtime and weekend newsreader. She was also one of the launch presenters on the ITV 24-hour satellite news channel. Further she worked as a reporter at Sky News, on Channel 4 business documentaries, and on BBC World.

Australia

After joining ABC she was a finance editor for the The 7.30 Report [1] filled in as presenter for Lateline.

She had been hosting the Midday Report on TV, a national weekday news bulletin with a special focus on business, between 12:00 and 12:30, since 2005, succeeding Chris Clarke

She since lives in Sydney with her Australian husband Sean Mulcahy, a television cameraman and the adviser of Michelle Leslie, a model who was in 2005 arrested in Bali for the possession of ecstasy. [2]

In April 2007, Childs began a six months maternity leave, which ended on 15th October.
