Elio Zagato (1921 - September 15, 2009) was an italian automobile designer.[1]
He joined his father Ugo Zagatos designer firm Zagato and, upon his father's death in 1968, took over management. Among his works :were
- Fiat 8V Zagato,
- Alfa Romeo 1900 SSZ,
- Ferrari 250 GTZ,
- Maserati A6 and
- Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato
He also raced cars and was one of the founders of Scuderia Ambrosiana of Milano. Races he won include Targa Florio and five GT series, as well as Coppa Inter-Europa, Golden Cup of Dolomites and the Berlin Avus Cup in 1955.
