Islam Nagar (Urdu: اسلام نگر) is one of the neighbourhoods of Baldia Town in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan[1].

There are several ethnic groups including Muhajirs, Punjabis, Sindhis, Kashmiris, Seraikis, Pakhtuns, Balochis, Memons, Bohras Ismailis, etc. Over 99% of the population is Muslim. The population of Baldia Town is estimated to be nearly one million..

Union Council No. 1 of Baldia Town contains Three Mohallah i.e.Gulshan-e-Ghazi, Islam Nagar and Abidabad. Awans are in popularity in Islam Nagar and many other peoples like Mianwali, Pathan, Hazarewal, Punjabi, Saraiki speakers. Islam Nagar is the smallest Muhallah of UC-1, Islam Nagar have a problem of fresh water supply since 1992. Before 1992 Islam Nagar was a part of Orangi Town Sector # 10, its fresh water lines, telephone connecetions were provided by Orangi Town. Due to some political reasons, Islam Nagar was attached with Baldia Town in 1992. When it became part of Baldia Town, Organi Town Management diconnected their water connecitons because of the reason that Islam Nagar is not longer part of orangi Town. Islam Nagar is very important by geographical conditions. It is a pathway from Hub Industrial Area to Orangi Town and followed by Nazimabad and North Karachi.
