Saraiki ( Arabic : سرائیکی/ Gurmukhi :ਸਰਾਇਕੀ), sometimes also written Siraiki, is an Indo-Aryan language spoken by 20 million people in Pakistan, India and partly in Afghanistan. It forms a dialect continuum with Sindhi and Punjabi , which have taken many words from Saraiki.

Saraiki has 16 vowels and 48 consonants.

Saraiki is written both with a modified Perso-Arabic alphabet and in the Gurmukhi script , but most Saraiki speakers can neither read nor write their language.
