Xylokastro (Greek: Ξυλόκαστρο, derived from Solo Castro as the area was designated on old maps De Wit, 1680) is a town and a former municipality in Corinthia, Peloponnese, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Xylokastro-Evrostina, of which it is a municipal unit.[1] It is 40 km W of Corinth via Greek National Road 8A/E65. Its 2001 population was 5,618 for the village and 15,273 for the municipal district. The river Sythas runs to its west and there are mountains to its south and southwest.

Its geography varies from farmlands within the coastline and parts of the south, forests in the southeast and mostly grassy to the southwest.
