Chris Addison (born 1972, Didsbury, Manchester) is an English writer, stand up comic and actor, with a career which has spanned over a decade.
His BBC radio work includes the anthropological lecture series The Ape That Got Lucky with Dan Tetsell, and the political satire The Department with John Oliver and Andy Zaltzman. Addison most featured as Olly in both series of BBC television satire The Thick of It.
On the 8 May, 2006 he won the Sony UK Radio Awards (Best Radio Comedy Show) for his show The Ape That Got Lucky. Addison recommends quieting noisome car journeys with a game of "don't speak till you see a man in a Fez".
He attended the Manchester Grammar School
