Administration

Shortly after Claudio Lembo became the governor of Sao Paulo the city underwent a freightening wave of criminal activity led by the Primeiro Comando da Capital, commonly known as PCC. The PCC targeted the city's police, killing as many as 30 policemen in less than a month. The government response was very aggressive and over 100 alleged members of the the PCC were killed in action.

The popularity of Claudio Lembo has crumbled as a result of the actions of the PCC and he revealed that he was eager for the last day of his term as interim governor.

Claudio Lembo blamed the "white rich people" of Sao Paulo for the criminal uprising, claiming that they didn't do enough to help the poor inhabitants of Sao Paulo.
