Peter Frank Beathard (born March 7, 1942) was an american football quarterback.

College Career

He played college football at the University of Southern California, winning the College Football National Championship in 1962.

Professional Career

He was the 1964 first-round draft choice of the National Football League Kansas City Chiefs. In 1967 Beathard was traded to the Houston Oilers in exchange for quarterback Jacky Lee and led the Oilers to the AFL Eastern Division title before losing to the Oakland Raiders 40-7 in the AFL Championship Game. Beathard took the Oilers to the AFL playoffs again in 1969.
