Nate Newton

Nate Newton is the bassist in metalcore band Converge.

He also plays guitar in two side projects, Old Man Gloom and Doomriders.

Before relocating to the Boston area in 1999, he was in the Virginia Beach area hardcore punk bands Lift, Jesuit, and Channel (all of which also featured Brian Benoit of Dillinger Escape Plan).

He is also the least frequent member of Converge.

In 2007 he sang guest vocals on the songs "Responsibles" and "Tread on the Neck of Kings" from the album "Prey for Eyes" by the Boston, MA band The Red Chord.
