"Tú"
Song

"" (English: You) is a song written and performed by the Colombian-born musician Shakira. It is found on her fourth studio album, ¿Dónde Están los Ladrones? (1998). "Tú" was released as the second single of the album, and just like its predecessor, "Ciega, Sordomuda", it reached #1 at the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks chart. "Tú" also crossed over into the Hot 100, peaking at #95 and becoming Shakira's first single to appear on that chart.[citation needed] Many fans regard this song as Shakira's most touching and inspirational song.

Song Information

When Shakira last sang the song in her Tour of the Mongoose, the beginning was altered into a Piano Mix, and the end also changed into a vocal arrangement. Since this tour, Shakira has not sang this song.

Video

‎ The video of "Tú" is shot in black-and-white and features Shakira in a room full of things. At the start she is seen facing the right, where she starts singing. Throughout the song, she moves around the room , to the refrigerator, to sit, etc. while a band comes in including a cello/double bass and begins playing to her song. At the end, the camera faces outside and to the ground. The coloured version of the video has also been on the internet.
